PSPA Emergency Declaration Declaration At Gracemere

Police have declared an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) in relation to a police incident this afternoon, 23 June.

Officers were called to a Horwell Street, Gracemere address just before 2pm, to take a man into custody in relation to other matters.

It is believed the man is armed and an exclusion zone has been established while police respond, encompassing Horwell Street, and Taramoore Road.

Residents within the exclusion zone are asked to stay indoors and members of the public to avoid the area, to allow police operations to continue safely.
