Police have declared an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) in Moreton this morning, March 10.
Officers were called to reports of a gas leak around 6.20am, after a tree fell onto a gas cylinder on Robson Street.
An exclusion zone is in place and encompasses Robson Street, Grice Street and Duffield Road.
Motorists and residents are advised to avoid the area.
