Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) in relation to a suspicious device located in Hyde Park this morning.
A declaration was made at 12.40pm and specialist police are currently assessing the device. It was located in a business car park on Woolcock Street this morning at 10:35am.
The PSPA encompasses Woolcock Street between Kings Road and Church Street.
Members of the public are advised to avoid the area.
