Public appeal: Closure of ‘Operation Victor Virgae’ in South Eastern Region, QLD

Police have released vision of men who may be able to assist with investigations into the theft of approximately $463,000 worth of catalytic converters across the South Eastern Region in February.

Around 1am on Wednesday February 8, a group of three men forced entry to a secure caryard on Newheath Drive by cutting the fence and stole nine diesel particulate diffusers worth approximately $156,000.

Around 1am on Monday February 13, a group of three men attended a service station on Johnston Street, Southport, where a catalytic converter and registration plates were stolen from a utility.

Please see the below link to access footage of a man attending a Springfield Central hardware store around 7.40pm on Tuesday February 7, who police wish to speak with in relation to the above mentioned incidents, followed by footage of the Southport theft on February 13.

Police are urging anyone who may have information in relation to this man or his whereabouts, to come forward.
