Public appeal: November 2021 break ins in Bayside, QLD

Police have released images of a man they believe can assist with investigations into six property related offences, including the theft of thousands of dollars’ worth of cigarettes, across the Bayside and Brisbane areas, in November 2021.

On Sunday, November 28 at approximately 3:30am, two men broke into a convenience store on Bluebell Street in Alexandra Hills. The pair stole thousands of dollars’ worth of cigarettes before leaving in a vehicle which was stolen from Chermside on November 21.

At approximately 2:30 that morning the offenders have attempted to break in to a store on Outlook Avenue in Thornlands, but were unable to gain entry.

The vehicle was captured on CCTV at about 1.20am that morning, leaving a petrol station on Bailey Road at Birkdale, without attempting to pay.

The stolen vehicle was located later on Sunday abandoned on Lachlan Street at Birkdale.

The man from the images is described as Caucasian with a slim build, short dark hair and with a tattoo on the back of his left calf.

Anyone who recognises him, or has information, is asked to contact police.
