Queensland latest coronavirus data as at 12 September

Queensland has three new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) to report today, bringing the state’s total cases to 1,149.

All of the new confirmed cases were detected in quarantine as they are known close contacts of previously confirmed cases.

The news cases are from the West Moreton region.

Should any information regarding contact tracing on any new confirmed case of COVID-19 need to be released, we will issue a Public Health Alert.

Today’s cases bring the total cases associated with the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre and Corrections Academy cluster to 48. This includes seven staff from Ipswich Hospital.

Queensland currently has 31 active COVID-19 cases.

It is vital that anyone in Queensland, especially if you’ve been interstate in the last 14 days, gets a COVID-19 test if you develop symptoms, even if mild. Symptoms may include fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, shortness of breath, loss of smell or taste, and fatigue.
