The Crisafulli Government is putting Queensland back on the global stage, delivering the State’s largest-ever business delegation to one of the world’s biggest trade events.

More than 110 delegates from over 50 Queensland companies are attending the China International Import Export (CIIE) in Shanghai, to promote premium local products to hundreds of thousands of buyers.

From beef and seafood to plant-based food, boutique wines and wellness brands, Queensland is once again open for business after a decade of decline under Labor.

At the heart of the mission is the new ‘QueensLand of Opportunity’, officially opened by Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training, Ros Bates.

Its purpose is to unite exporters from every region under one confident global brand and show Queensland is ready to compete and win on the world stage.

A third of participating firms are from regional Queensland, including Stanbroke Beef, JBS, Kilcoy Global Foods, Lotte International, COYO, and Walker Seafoods.

Many of whom are participating in livestreams featuring their products, reaching millions of Chinese consumers, creating new eCommerce export channels, building demand for Queensland’s products, helping underpin a stronger economy, and a better lifestyle for Queenslanders.

In the year ending August 2025, Queensland’s goods export to China were worth $25.3 billion, including $6.5 billion in premium food, beverage, and medicinal products.

For a decade, the former Labor Government let Queensland’s trade edge slip, opportunities were missed, approvals stalled, and business confidence was lost. That era is over.

The Crisafulli Government is driving a fresh start for trade and investment, cutting red tape, backing exporters, and restoring Queensland’s reputation as Australia’s most ambitious state.

Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training, Ros Bates, said the mission was a clear signal that Queensland is open for business.

“Throughout Labor’s decade of decline, exports were transactional, relationships were an afterthought, Queensland’s export potential sat idle, and investment opportunities were missed,” Minister Bates said.

”Queensland is back on the global stage, showcasing our best and turning opportunity into outcomes.

”We’re restoring confidence, cutting red tape, and backing exporters in every corner of our State.

”This is the fresh start Queenslanders voted for.”
