Mater Foundation is proud to welcome Queensland X-Ray as Presenting Partner in a five-year partnership commencing in 2024, raising funds for life-saving breast cancer treatment and research.

With more than 50 practices across the state, Queensland X-Ray Chief Executive Officer Dr Robert Clarke believes the partnership will create a unique opportunity to work together to continue vital work improving the health and wellbeing of the community.

Mater Foundation Chief Executive Andrew Thomas said the partnership will amplify the important message International Women’s Day Fun Run delivers each year across Queensland.

“With a strong 33 year history, International Women’s Day Fun Run has continued to grow, and since 2021, no matter where you live, you can be part of the sea of pink with a virtual event and make a difference to lives of people with breast cancer.”

Mater Foundation looks forward to working with Queensland X-Ray to grow event participation and increase awareness as we continue to make a difference in the lives of people with breast cancer.

This year’s sea of pink saw more than 20,000 people – including breast cancer patients, Mater People and their families – walk, jog and run 5km raising $2 million for Mater Chicks in Pink.

Registrations open early January 2024, and are expected to sell-out once again.
