Gambling Harm Awareness Week 2023 is fast approaching, with the year’s theme ‘Talk. Share. Support”.
We are hosting a community forum on the harms of gambling. This forum has been developed in collaboration with Frankston City Council, as well as Connect Health and Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation, who are both part of the Mornington Peninsula Shire’s Consultative Committee of Gambling.
This forum and Gambling Harm Awareness Week offers a safe space to understand the harms of gambling, what support is available and how to start a conversation on the harms of gambling.
Join us for our community forum at 7pm on Thursday 12 October 2023, at the Mount Eliza Community Centre. Tickets are free and we encourage you to secure your seat via the following booking link: mornpen.vic.gov.au/gamblingharmsession
Attendees will enjoy powerful, personal stories of recovery, which will inspire both hope and optimism, whether you or someone you know is impacted by gambling. All are welcome, whether you’re currently experiencing harm or know someone who is. Information will be freely available at the forum on where to get help.
