Raptor Squad officers have charged four people from Victoria who allegedly travelled to Sydney to carry out criminal contracts linked to two shootings earlier this month.
About 2.30am on Monday 31 August 2026, police were told three unknown men had forced entry into a home on Dora Street, Hurstville. No occupants were present; however, a gunshot was allegedly discharged into a wall inside the home. The men left the scene shortly after in a black sedan.
About 3am the same day, police responded to reports of shots fired at a parked vehicle on Reede Street, Turrella. On arrival, officers found a grey sedan had been shot at multiple times. No injuries were reported.
Officers attached to St George Police Area Command established a crime scene at both locations, before the investigation was taken over by State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad under Strike Force Fedora.
During initial inquiries, detectives identified four people who had allegedly travelled from Victoria to carry out the criminal contracts.
On Wednesday 9 September 2026, detectives executed warrants at homes in Lurnea and Campbelltown. It’s alleged the group stayed at these locations from Sunday 30 August to Tuesday 1 September 2026.
Following extensive inquiries, on Wednesday (16 September 2026), Raptor Squad officers joined Victoria Police’s Homicide Squad detectives and VIPER Taskforce in executing search warrants in Broadmeadows, Campbellfield, Mickleham and Donnybrook, in Victoria.
A 22-year-old man was arrested in Epping, while a 23-year-old man, 26-year-old woman and 16-year-old boy were all arrested in Donnybrook.
They were all taken to Melbourne West Police Station.
About 12pm yesterday (Thursday 17 September 2026) all four appeared before Melbourne Magistrate’s Court, where extradition to NSW was applied for and granted.
At 11.30am today (Friday 19 September 2026) all four people were driven to Albury Police Station.
The 16-year-old boy, two men – aged 22 and 23, and a 26-year-old woman were charged with special aggravated break and enter commit serious and indictable offence, two counts of fire firearm at dwelling – organised criminal activity and participate in a criminal group – contribute criminal activity.
The adults were all refused bail to appear at Bail Division 5 Local Court tomorrow (Saturday 19 September 2026).
The 16-year-old boy was refused bail to appear at a children’s court tomorrow (Saturday 19 September 2026).
