South Australian company the Chapley Group, which operates Pasadena Foodland, is recalling a number of its hot cross bun products following a customer complaint to the business about plastic in a product.
The foreign matter may cause injury if consumed.
The recall includes the following products that were produced on 7 April, 2019:
- Choc Chip Hot Cross Buns 6 pack
- Cranberry and White Choc Hot Cross Buns 6 pack
- Hot Cross Buns 6 pack
- Hot Cross Buns Large Loose
- Hot Cross Buns Fruitless 6 pack
- Mini Hot Cross Buns 12 pack
- Mini Choc Chip Hot Cross Buns 12 pack
- Premium Hot Cross Buns 500g
- Various weights, 6 or 12 in a pack, packed on 7 April 2019
In South Australia these products were available at Pasadena Foodland and were produced on 7 April 2019.
No other Pasadena Foodland bakery products are affected by the recall.
The cause is being investigated and there is no evidence of a deliberate act.
Anyone who has purchased an affected product should check the “packed on” date and return it for a full refund to Pasadena Foodland.
