Snowy Monaro Regional Council has completed replacing the old wooden Redcliffe Bridge on Camablong Road, Cambalong with a modern single-lane concrete replacement.

This significant project is the second of four major bridge upgrades or replacements in the area of Camablong Road and Palarang Road, with Palarang Bridge over Bukalong Creek on Palarang Road upgraded in April 2023.

The new Redcliffe Bridge has resulted in improved access for residents and businesses, with the lifting of the long-standing 15 tonne load limit that had been in place for the old wooden bridge.

Two additional bridges over Cambalong Creek on Cambalong Road are set for upgrade or replacement, with one tender awarded, and another currently open for quotes.

Council thanks the NSW Government for their generous support in making this ambitious project possible, through their financial support under the Fixing Country Bridges Round 2A program.
