Australia’s active engagement and contribution to the IMO Council reflects our longstanding commitment to effective, inclusive and forward-looking global maritime governance.
Continued membership on the IMO Council will enable Australia to champion the interests of our region and those of Small Island Developing States, Least Developed Countries, as well as other coastal port States, to ensure their perspectives help shape the future of the global maritime sector.
