Marketing, money, networking and AI. Mitchell Shire Council is bringing four areas small business owners often find challenging into one practical day.
The Mitchell Small Business Skills Summit 2026 will be held at Beveridge Community Centre on Wednesday 28 October, from 9am to 3pm. Four specialists will each tackle one topic, with time built in to meet other local business operators.
Taking time away from your business is a big ask when you’re the one answering the phones, so the summit is designed to make that time worthwhile. Each session will be practical, led by an experienced small business specialist and focused on ideas you can use straight away.
Tickets are $19, or $9.50 for Mitchell Business Network and Go Seymour members. The ticket price includes all four sessions, refreshments and lunch.
What’s on the program?
- Networking in Action – Ailsa Page, Ailsa Page Consulting
- Marketing 101 – Kirri Romero, The Online Fix
- How to Make More Money Without Working Harder – Fiona Johnston, Peach Business Management
- Introduction to AI for Small Business – Maree Sortino, The Social Secret
The summit is open to business owners and operators at any stage, from sole traders and home-based businesses to established small employers. You don’t need to be a member of a local business network to attend.
