Council has rescheduled additional permanent line-marking work for the new pedestrian wombat crossings in Cooma for Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 June 2023. This work could not be completed as planned last week, due to bad weather.
This final round of line-marking follows the completion of the wombat crossing in late 2022, improving pedestrian safety near Cooma schools.
Work will commence on Monday 19 June 2023 at the intersection of Vale and Commissioner Streets.
Completion of this project is scheduled for Tuesday 20 June 2023, weather permitting.
Traffic control measures will be in place to allow the paint to dry.
These planned works are subject to weather conditions and Council will keep the community informed if any changes occur.
