Ride-share driver charged with Indecent Assault

Perth Detectives have charged a man after a woman in her 20s was allegedly indecently assaulted by a ride-share driver.

Around 11pm on Saturday 5 October 2019, the woman got into the front passenger seat of a ride-share vehicle after the driver allegedly told her the rear passenger doors were broken and she needed to sit in the front.

It is further alleged during the journey from a southern Perth suburb to Northbridge, the driver indecently assaulted the woman.

The 51-year-old man from Southern River has been charged with four counts of Indecent Assault and is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on 21 October 2019.
