Council advises that the unsealed section of Wolgan Road, from the Barton Creek bridge, will be closed for the week starting Monday 1st August to Friday 5th August.
This section will be closed from 7.30am to 4pm to remove trees damaged in the 2019-2020 bushfires that have been deemed a risk by trained assessors. This involves crane work on the road which when in operation, cannot be moved.
A half hour opening at 12.00 to 12.30pm will be in place for traffic during the period. Emergency vehicles will be given absolute priority during this time.
The times and dates are dependent on favourable weather and may be changed should inclement weather occur.
The sealed section of Wolgan Road will have no restrictions and operate as normal.
These works are funded by the NSW Government through the Environment Protection Authority’s Bushfire-Generated Green Waste Clean-Up and Processing Program. Council thanks the State Government for this opportunity to reach out and assist our residents directly.
