WET WEATHER UPDATE – 7:50am Tuesday 24 May 2022

With further rainfall overnight a number of roads have now closed due to water over the road.

CLOSED DUE TO FLOODWATERS:

  • Ross Lane
  • Lindendale Road
  • Friday Hut Road @ Kirklands Crossing

A number of cautions are also in place for water over the road. Ballina Shire Council’s crews are continuing inspections and will update livetraffic.com as roads are inspected.

Not all urban roads can be signposted – so please be aware of changing conditions in your local area and allow extra travel time.

ROSS LANE has been reduced to one-lane under traffic control. Please proceed with caution.

A number of rural roads have cautions – water of the road.

Please be aware of changing conditions in your area. Avoid unnecessary travel.

WET WEATHER UPDATE – 9am Monday 23 May 2022

With rainfall over the weekend and continuing today, Ballina Shire Council is urging residents to avoid non-essential travel where possible.

If you do need to be on our roads, please drive with caution and allow extra travel time.

A caution for water over the road is currently in place for Ross Lane.

Ballina Shire Council’s crews will check and signpost roads as soon as they are able to, however not all urban roads can be signposted – so please be aware of changing conditions in your local area.
