Police have charged an 11-year-old girl following a robbery with violence incident in Townsville last night, 22 September.
It is alleged at 7.34pm last night a 28-year-old woman was boarding a bus on Flinders Lane intersection with Fraley Lane when she was pulled off from behind by two youths and fell onto the concrete platform causing a head injury.
She was then allegedly assaulted while on the ground and had property stolen from her.
The woman sustained lacerations and injuries to her head.
She was treated at the scene by emergency services and transported home.
An 11-year-old girl was arrested a short time later and has been charged with robbery in company used personal violence.
Police bail was refused and she is due to appear in the Townsville Childrens Court today, 23 September.
A second 11-year-old was also arrested and will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
Investigations are ongoing.
