Ross Hepburn appointed CV Chair

The Board of Cricket Victoria has confirmed the appointment of Ross Hepburn as the organisation’s new Chair.

Mr Hepburn was first elected to the Board in 2020.

Mr Hepburn is a former general manager, consultant and company director and holds degrees in Civil Engineering and Business Administration.

Early in his career he led the marketing portfolio at Visy with the late Richard Pratt and was a consultant to former Victorian Premier John Cain on a number of key projects during his tenure.

Mr Hepburn is also currently Chair of South East Community Links, an organisation which provides a range of programs and services to multicultural communities in Melbourne’s south east.

He has also had a long association with Dandenong Cricket Club.

Mr Hepburn said it was a privilege to lead the Board.

“I’d like to thank my fellow Directors for the opportunity to lead the Board of Cricket Victoria through what we are confident will be productive years ahead,” Mr Hepburn said.

“Cricket Victoria is determined to lead and serve the game as effectively as we can. I’d like to thank all our clubs, associations and thousands of volunteers who are the face of our game in the local community.”

“We have an exciting summer ahead and hopefully one without significant pandemic disruption. We’re looking forward to getting out into the community, to supporting our teams and building and retaining our participant base. I look forward to supporting our Chief Executive Nick Cummins and his team as we work together to drive positive and productive outcomes for our game,” Mr Hepburn said.

Mr Hepburn will commence in the role immediately.
