Applications are now open for Round Four of the National Careers Institute’s Partnership Grants program with $2.5 million of grant funding on offer.
The program provides funding for organisations, employers, training providers and schools to improve career outcomes and create education and training pathways for all Australians.
Minister for Employment, Workforce, Skills, Small and Family Business, Stuart Robert, said the latest round will focus on projects that improve access to information and support services for young people.
‘We want the nation’s youth to be in control of their lives and central to this is getting access to the right career advice to follow their career aspirations,’ Minister Robert said.
‘There is a real need to fill vacancies as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, which is why the Morrison Government is committed to helping people gain the skills they need to land a job.’
Round Four of the Partnership Grants program will provide eligible applicants with grants between $20,000 to $350,000 for up to 12 months of project funding.
Assistant Minister for Youth and Employment Services, Luke Howarth, said the Government’s commitment to funding new projects will improve career pathways for job seekers and help strengthen the nation’s skills-led economic recovery.
‘This year’s Budget had a strong focus on Australia’s youth through a suite of targeted measures to educate and support young people into finding rewarding employment opportunities,’ Assistant Minister Howarth said.
‘This grant funding round forms part of our record $6.4 billion investment in skills this year alone, guaranteeing pathways to a better future for young Australians.’
