Rockhampton Regional Council is delighted to be hosting the Science on the Move Exhibition at library branches from 21 September through to early November.
Communities and Heritage Councillor Drew Wickerson said the eight interactive displays from Questacon, the National Science and Technology Centre in Canberra, are sure to be a hit for inquisitive minds of all ages.
“This is a fantastic travelling exhibition and we are so excited that we can host it over the school holidays at our Southside Library,” Cr Wickerson said.
“What a fantastic opportunity to come along and fire up the neurons by experiencing these eight interactive displays.
“Enjoy, discover and explore principles of light, music and sound, human biology and health, force and motion, ecology and the environment, electricity and magnetism, human population and genetics.
“Turn yourself into a battery, try out the thongaphone, predict the outcome of chaos, and more!
“The exhibition is open now at Rockhampton Regional Libraries Southside and will run through the holidays before they are split and shared across our smaller branches.
“So bring the kids along to try their hand at Science on the Move – though actually, this exhibition is fun for all ages!”
