Score free skate lessons from pro

Do you want to learn how to skateboard? This is your chance to learn from the pros!

Former world champion and Tokyo Olympics judge Renton Millar will be passing on his skills to aspiring skateboarders on Saturday, 19 February at Five Dock Skate Park.

With the support of a community grant from the City of Canada Bay, Millar will be providing free skateboarding lessons to children and adults of all skill levels.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with King of Concrete for the sixth year in a row and offering these lessons to the community,” City of Canada Bay Mayor Angelo Tsirekas said

“This event is about encouraging people from all walks of life to come, be active, learn new skills, and be inspired by the pros.”

After hosting numerous skateboarding workshops across America and Europe, ex-champ Renton Millar is excited to be returning to Five Dock.

“It’s such a great park and the skaters love coming back to Five Dock – it’s one of the best skate park facilities in the country.”

“The lessons are an opportunity to connect pro skaters with the community and inspire them to get active and pursue opportunities in skating.”

For those who prefer to watch the action, the annual King of Concrete skateboarding competition will be returning to Five Dock Skate Park on Sunday, 20 February from 10am.
