Screen funding program opens

Applications are open for the $50 million Temporary Interruption Fund (TIF) for the Australian screen production industry.

TIF will assist Australia’s screen production industry recommence new filming projects halted by COVID-19 by helping film and television producers secure finance.

The initiative will support the return to work of cast and crew in a range of roles – including actors, writers, camera operators, set builders, electrical technicians, hair and makeup artists, accountants, caterers, designers, production managers and drivers.

TIF is a key component of the $250 million JobMaker plan to get the entertainment, arts and screen sectors back to work. It will be in place for 12 months and is expected to support around 50 Australian productions.

The eligibility criteria, guidelines and information on how to apply are available on through Screen Australia, who will administer the fund.
