Seabird fatal crash

Major Crash officers are investigating a fatal crash that occurred yesterday, Tuesday 27 August 2019, in Seabird.

Around 6.20pm, a silver Holden Commodore sedan travelling north along Indian Ocean Drive, collided with a white Toyota Commuter Omnibus and a silver Subaru Forrester that were both travelling south on Indian Ocean Drive. As a result of the crash the Holden Commodore and Subaru Forrester caught fire.

The male driver and sole occupant of the Holden Commodore died at the scene.

The occupants of the Toyota Omnibus, eight Chinese tourists and the local male driver were not injured in the crash.

The driver of the Subaru, a 43-year-old man received serious injuries and was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital.

Major Crash investigators would like to speak to anyone who saw the crash, or the Holden Commodore, Toyota Commuter Omnibus or the Subaru Forrester prior to the crash, and ask anyone who was in the area around the time of the crash who has dashcam vision to come forward.
