Search starts for Tasracing CEO

Tasracing has officially begun its search for a new Chief Executive Officer.

Tasracing is the corporate entity which governs the three codes of racing in Tasmania to improve the commercial performance and economic contribution of racing in Tasmania, which currently generates more than $185 million in economic activity and supports more than 5,800 jobs.

The company has engaged a recruitment firm to undertake a national process to find its next Chief Executive Officer.

The successful candidate will lead Tasracing to develop racing and breeding, the funding of clubs, provision of stakes, the negotiation of media rights and management of racing venues across the State.

A key priority for the new CEO will be the development of new harness and greyhound racetracks on the North West coast.
