Searches Across Metro Area Leads To Six Arrests

Six people were charged over an ongoing police operation this week.

Between Thursday 11 and Friday 12 April police from the Serious and Organised Crime Branch conducted searches of eight properties within the metropolitan area. These searches followed a previous investigation into the possession, sale and distribution of illicit substances.

Detectives seized approximately $108,000 in cash, five vehicles, a motorcycle and a firearm.

As a result of the searches, the following people have been arrested:

  • A 41-year-old Craigmore man has been charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug. He was refused bail and appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
  • A 56-year-old Whyalla man has been charged with two counts of trafficking controlled drugs and breaching a Firearms Prohibition Order. He was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday.
  • A 74-year-old Welland man has been charged with two counts of trafficking a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug, possession of prescribed equipment and money laundering. He has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 19 June.
  • A 44-year-old Beaumont man has been charged with two counts of trafficking a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug. He was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
  • A 49-year-old Sellicks Hill man has been charged with multiple counts of trafficking in a large commercial quantities of controlled drugs. He has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 19 June. CO2400002555
  • A 45-year-old Gilles Plains man has been charged with multiple counts of trafficking in large commercial quantities of controlled drugs. He was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday. CO2400004078 & CO2400005760
