Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a second man in relation to a fatal hit-run in Dingley Village in 2019.
Emergency services were called to Spring Road after reports of a man’s body being located around 4.30am on 20 December by a passer-by.
A 53-year-old Dingley Village man died at the scene.
A 19-year-old Dandenong South man handed himself into police on 23 December 2019 and was charged with culpable driving, dangerous driving causing death and fail to stop and render assistance.
MCIU detectives arrested a second man today in relation to the incident.
The 19-year-old Diamond Creek man was charged with culpable driving, dangerous driving causing death, fail to stop, and fail to render assistance.
He was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 11 May.
