Second man charged with murder of Danny Radulovic in Balmain – Strike Force Dears

A second man will appear in court today, charged with the murder of Danny Radulovic in Sydney’s Inner West under Strike Force Dears.

About 3.40pm on Saturday 29 July 2023, emergency services were called to Donnelly Street in Balmain following reports of an assault.

On arrival, officers attached to Leichhardt Police Area Command found a 29-year-old man suffering significant injuries to his head and torso.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where he died a short time later.

He has since been identified as Dejan ‘Danny’ Radulovic.

Police have been told Danny Radulovic was injured during an altercation with two men before the pair allegedly fled the scene in a white jeep.

The vehicle was found burnt out on Preston Avenue in Five Dock a short time later with a firearm inside.

A post-mortem examination was conducted, revealing Radulovic had suffered a gunshot wound.

Local detectives and State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad established Strike Force Dears to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.

To date, two men have been charged in relation to the incident and remain before the courts.

Following further inquiries, about 8.30am today (Wednesday 18 October 2023), strike force detectives arrested a 21-year-old man at Liverpool Police Station.

The man was charged with murder and fail to comply digital evidence access order direction.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Liverpool Local Court today (Thursday 19 October 2023).
