Second person dies after Oakleigh East collision

A second person has died following a two car crash which occurred in Oakleigh East last night.

It is believed that a Mazda 3 and Nissan Skyline collided on Ferntree Gully Road about 8pm.

The driver and only occupant of the Skyline, believed to be a man in his 20s, died at the scene.

A woman who was a rear seat passenger in the Mazda and believed to be in her late teens was taken to hospital in a critical condition and later died.

A man, also believe to be in his teens and travelling in the back seat, was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the Mazda and his female front seat passenger, both believed to be in their late teens, are assisting police with their enquires.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are at the scene and are investigating.
