The Security Council will hear a briefing this morning on West Africa and the Sahel. Special Representative and Head of the UN Office for West Africa and the Sahel (UNOWAS) Leonardo Santos Simão will present the Secretary-General’s latest report, S/2026/537 , which covers developments from 29 November 2025 to 30 June 2026.
