The Security Council today will hold a briefing to discuss the security situation in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. The meeting was called for by the United States.
Assistant Secretary-General for Africa in the Departments of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs and Peace Operations Martha Ama Akyaa Pobee is expected to brief the Council.
