On the morning of the 28th of Augst 2023 at approximately 3.23am a single vehicle crash occurred on Faraday Street, Ravenswood.
The incident occurred when the vehicle involved had left the roadway and collided with a power pole.
A 36-year-old male occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A 36-year-old female occupant of the vehicle was transported to Launceston General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police Crash Investigations are investigating the cause of crash.
To facilitate these investigations Police will remain at the scene on Faraday Street, Ravenswood for some time.
Faraday Street will remain closed between Magnet Street and Faulkner Road Roundabouts.
Police advise motorists to avoid the area.
