Serious crashesin Brisbane and Logan

A man has died and another man and woman have been seriously injured following two separate crashes overnight.

Around 10.30pm yesterday, investigations suggest the man was travelling along Telegraph Road at Bracken Ridge when his black Mazda 3 left the road and crashed into a tree.

The 37-year-old Meadowbrook man died at the scene.

In a separate crash just after 1am this morning, early investigations suggest a Holden Commodore was travelling along Bumstead Road at Crestmead when it collided head on with a Toyota RAV4.

The driver and sole occupant of Holden Commodore, a 21-year-old man, was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

An 18-year-old girl driving the Toyota RAV4 was transported to hospital suffering critical life-threatening injuries. She was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Officers from the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing investigations into both crashes.

Anyone who witnessed either crash, or may have footage, is asked to come forward to police.

The crashes come after police on Friday appealed to drivers to take extra care on our roads leading up to Australia Day.
