Police are investigating following a serious injury crash at the intersection of Gold Coast Highway and Twenty First Avenue, Palm Beach today.
Initial information indicates at 2.45pm a 39-year-old woman, who was controlling traffic, was hit by a passing vehicle.
The woman was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital with critical injuries.
The 46-year-old driver is assisting police with the investigation.
Forensic Crash unit investigations are ongoing.
