An east coast low is forecast to bring heavy rainfall, flash flooding, damaging winds, damaging surf and abnormally high tides from Tuesday night and into Wednesday.
We are urging the community to prepare and plan ahead:
- Secure loose items around your house and yard and ensure your weather risk is known for your area – check your home emergency plan is ready
- Check in with loved ones – make sure your family, friends, and elderly or vulnerable neighbours are safe and aware of the impending inclement weather
- Make sure your pets are included in your emergency plan – this includes large animals & livestock
- Replan your travel for the remainder of the week
- For emergency assistance due to flash flooding and storm damage, call NSW SES on 132 500. For life threatening emergencies including rescue, call 000.
