Shot fired at Stapylton, QLD

Police have arrested a woman after a gel-blaster was allegedly fired at a vehicle on the M1 at Stapylton this morning.

It will be alleged that around 10.10am, a woman travelling in a black Landcruiser fired a shot from a silver gel-blaster into a white vehicle, while both were travelling south on the M1.

The Landcruiser exited the highway and police tracked the vehicle to Quinns Hill Road where it was intercepted around 11am.

All three occupants of the vehicle – two men and one woman – were spoken to by police.

The men were later released, and the woman is currently assisting police with investigations.

A search of the Landcruiser allegedly located a silver gel-blaster in the centre console.

Investigations continue to locate the second vehicle and its occupants.

There is no evidence to suggest anyone was injured during this incident.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed – or captured dash-camera footage – of the incident to come forward.

Investigations continue.
