Seniors in Townsville will have a boatload of information available to them at the nautical-themed Seniors Lifestyle Expo from 10am to 1pm on Tuesday 23 August 2022.
The expo at Annandale’s Townsville Stadium is a chance for Townsville’s seniors community to connect with a wide range of businesses and organisations showcasing their products and services.
Community and Cultural Development Committee chairperson Ann-Maree Greaney said the expo was a valuable chance for seniors in Townsville to learn about what the city has to offer them.
“There are so many reasons to head down to the Seniors Lifestyle Expo, whether you’re looking for information on aged care or retirement living, need some advice about health care or financial services, or you just want to find out how you can tap into the city’s social scene,” Cr Greaney said.
“There are countless exhibitors who will be able to provide information that will help make life as a senior Townsville local easier, safer and more fun.
“We’ll also have a free stage program with presentations, demonstrations and entertainment as well as a free sprinkler swap so you can exchange your old sprinkler for a new water-efficient wobble-tee sprinkler.
“If you need a lift to Annandale, Council will be running free shuttle buses from Willows, Stockland and Castletown to make it easier for you to make the most of the expo.”
