Six teens stabbed, man assaulted in Turramurra

Seven people are in hospital following a fight in Sydney’s Upper North Shore overnight.

About 11:40pm (Saturday 13 January 2019), emergency services were called to a park on Gilroy Road, Turrumurra, where police found six teenagers with stab wounds and a 34-year-old man with head and upper body injuries.

They were all treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospitals across Sydney.

Officers from Kuring-Gai Police Area Command established a crime scene and have launched an investigation into the incident.

Police have been told the man allegedly stabbed the teens during a fight.

• A 17-year-old youth, from Mt Kuring-Gai, is undergoing surgery in Royal North Shore Hospital for a stab wounds to his throat, chest and abdomen

• A 16-year-old girl is also undergoing surgery in Royal North Shore Hospital for stab wounds to her neck and left forearm

• A 19-year-old man, from Hornsby, is being treated in Westmead Hospital for a stab wound to his upper chest

• A 17-year-old youth, from Berowra, is being treated in Westmead Hospital for a stab wounds to his right forearm

• A 17-year-old youth, from Mt Colah, is being treated in Westmead Hospital for a stab wound to his right upper arm, and

• A 15-year-old boy, from Berowra, is being treated for a stab wound to his left arm.

The 34-year-old man is under guard in Westmead Hospital, being treated for injuries to his head and chest.

Detectives have been told none of the injuries are considered life-threatening.
