Roger Jaensch,Minister for Skills, Training and Workforce Growth

Another round of no-fee TasTAFE courses are now available, helping Tasmanians gain the skills they need to find employment in the State’s key industries.

SKILL UP is one of ways the Tasmanian Liberal Government is delivering on our plan to ensure we have a skilled workforce to support our growing economy.

This fourth round of SKILL UP TasTAFE courses will provide training for more than 350 Tasmanians to upskill or re-skill for work in growth industries, including civil construction, hospitality and viticulture.

Other SKILL UP courses include Develop Your Digital Skills, Workplace Computing, Introduction to Bar and Restaurant Service Essentials.

Some courses are fully online, while others are a blend of online learning combined with practical activities on-campus.

These courses are a great opportunity for people who would like to take the first step into a new career.

Our Government has committed $2 million into the SKILL UP program, providing no-fee training to more than 1000 Tasmanians since it began in 2020.

Applications open from 10am on Monday, May 9.
