The Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct is no stranger to putting on an evening full of heart and soul.
And that’s what locals can expect again on Friday, June 30 when Eats & Beats visits the popular venue.
Funk, rhythm and soul will take over the outdoor stage, thanks to a stellar line-up of Queensland music talent, including eight-piece band The Steele Syndicate, rhythm and blues solo act Graham Moes and emerging soul pop star Paulina.
In addition to the musical entertainment, there will also be more than 20 food trucks serving savoury and sweet dishes. Activities for kids will also be available.
Lifestyle Chair Councillor Tony Hall hopes to see the community out in force at this month’s event.
“Eats & Beats always attracts a fantastic crowd, and I am sure this one will be no different,” Cr Hall said.
“It’s a great opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy some great food and music at the city’s premier outdoor entertainment venue.”
The Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct was recently named inaugural ‘Accessible Venue of the Year’ at the Queensland Music Awards for its accessible design features.
The venue has disability parking in the main carpark with flat access to and around the Precinct.
There’s also a ‘Changing Places’ facility in the foyer designed to meet the needs of those with complex disabilities.
The event will also host a ‘Quiet Space’, providing an understanding and comfortable location for people with sensory needs.
Councillor Teresa Lane, whose Division 2 is hosting the event, is looking forward to welcoming people from across the city and beyond.
“The accessibility support at The Kingston Butter Factory highlights that this Eats & Beats really has something for everyone,” Cr Lane said.
Parking will be available onsite, with free public transport to and from the nearby Kingston Railway Station also on offer.
A free and wheelchair accessible shuttle bus, departing from and returning to the Logan Entertainment Centre, will also be available from 4:30pm to 8:30pm.

The event starts at 5pm. Entry is free. Eats & Beats is a pet and alcohol-free event.
