South Australia Covid update as at 10 December 2021

There have been eight new cases of COVID-19 reported today. There have been 991 cases reported in South Australia to date.

Today’s cases are three men aged between 20 and 90, four women aged between 20 and 60, and a child.

Of these cases, one case acquired their infection overseas and has been in quarantine since their arrival and four cases acquired their infection interstate. Two of today’s interstate cases are suspected to be the Omicron variant.

Two cases acquired their infection locally and are close contacts linked to the Norwood cluster, and a further case acquired their infection locally, however the source of their infection is yet to be identified.

A woman in her 50s and a man in his 30s remain in the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a stable condition. The man in his 30s was previously incorrectly reported as being in his 60s.
