St Kilda attempted armed robbery

Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released photos of a suspect as part of their investigation into an attempted armed robbery in St Kilda last month.

Investigators have been told a man produced a knife and made demands for the victim’s property on Fitzroy Street around 1.15pm on Sunday, 16 August.

The victim refused and the offender fled the scene empty handed.

Detectives have released images of a man who they believe can assist with their enquiries.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance with a stocky build.

He was wearing a black jacket, black pants, a dark beanie, a white facemask and a distinctive striped scarf.
