At no stage has Yarra City Council delayed this project. Council, like the community, want this facility open as soon as possible.
The Fairlea Sporting Precinct was officially opened in September 2022, and months later an amendment was submitted to Council for approval.
Any delays were caused by the applicant failing to provide the information required for Council to be able to issue the permit.
Once this information was provided, Council issued the permit within ten days.
Yarra Bend Park is owned and managed by Parks Victoria.
The Fairlea Sporting Precinct is being constructed by the Victorian Government.
