Climate action was rightly spotlighted at the State of the Union address tonight. It reminds us how we must keep momentum and convert ambitious climate goals into tangible outcomes. While we are already making significant progress towards net zero targets, swift action and public-private collaboration are critical to making this a reality.
We need accelerated permitting, stronger fuel economy standards, the launch of the American Climate Corps, and the addition of 270,000 jobs with over $650 billion in private investment for clean energy manufacturing to catalyze the clean energy transition. This moment demands public and private sector leaders come together to deliver a sustainable future for all through a just and equitable green economy.
