Tasmanian Labor wishes to convey its deepest sympathies to the family, friends and carers of the woman who passed away with COVID.
Shadow Minister for Ageing Jo Siejka said the loss will be felt throughout the Tasmanian community and the aged care sector in particular.
“It is incredibly saddening to hear that an aged care resident with COVID passed away,” Ms Siejka said.
“Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by this loss, both directly and indirectly.
“It emphasises the importance of vaccination against the virus.
“Once again I would like to place on the record Labor’s condolences to the family for their loss.”
