Gympie Police have charged a man following investigations into multiple stolen vehicles from Toolara Forest.
It is alleged just after 7pm on 6 September, the man unlawfully gained access to a holding yard on Tin Can Bay Road and stole multiple vehicles, including a white 2000 Western Star 4800 Series prime mover and an attached Mammoth Float trailer bearing a Caterpillar D6N LGP bulldozer.
A Kubota AG ATV, a Kawasaki ATV and a Victorian trailer were also taken and were located a short distance away on 7 September, while an Australia Pacific Box trailer and a bulldozer that were stolen both remain outstanding.
At approximately 5.47pm on 11 September following subsequent investigations, the Western Star prime mover was located at an address on Gregory Drive in Redridge.
It will be alleged the man exited the vehicle and ran from police, before he was arrested.
A 32-year-old man was charged with eight counts of stealing a vehicle, two counts each of enter premise to commit indictable offence and obstruct police, one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of a motor vehicle with intent to deprive, possess tainted property, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence, and fail to properly dispose of needed.
He has been remanded in custody and will next face Bundaberg Magistrates Court on 23 October.
