Northern Territory Police have arrested a 44-year-old man following a series of alleged domestic violence incidents in Karama over the weekend.
On Saturday evening, the man allegedly became involved in an altercation with a male known to him at a residence. During the incident, he allegedly armed himself with an edged weapon and caused the victim minor injuries.
In the early hours of Sunday, the man allegedly located the victim and a woman known to him at another residence in Karama.
It is alleged the man used a vehicle to ram the driver’s side of the pair’s vehicle before pursuing them along Kalymnos Drive and ramming their vehicle a second time.
Police attended and arrested the man without incident.
He remains in custody at the Palmerston Watch House and is expected to be charged with multiple offences, including aggravated assault, driving a motor vehicle without consent, being armed with an offensive weapon, dangerous driving, property damage, making threats and two counts of recklessly endangering serious harm.
Detectives from Strike Force Lyra are continuing to investigate the circumstances.
