Strike Force Raptor charge man after drugs and firearms seized in North Parramatta

A man has been charged with more than 20 firearms and drug offences as part of an ongoing investigation by Strike Force Raptor investigators.

About 6.15am on Friday 8 May 2020, strike force detectives executed a search warrant at a home on Bellevue Street, North Parramatta.

Police located and seized two rifles, a shotgun and a pistol as well as ammunition, a slingshot, heroin, cocaine, methylamphetamine (ice), mobile phones and two local council signs.

Following further inquiries, police arrested a 35-year-old man at Parramatta Police Station yesterday (Thursday 14 May 2020).

He was charged with a total of 22 offences including:

  • Possess unregistered firearm-prohibited firearm (x3)
  • Not keep firearm safely-prohibited firearm (x3)
  • Possess unauthorised prohibited firearm (x3)
  • Supply prohibited drug (x3)
  • Use, supply, acquire or possess defaced firearm (x2)
  • Possess more than three unregistered firearms
  • Possess unauthorised firearm
  • Not keep firearm safely-not prohibited firearm/pistol
  • Possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority
  • Possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit
  • Possess unregistered firearm-not prohibited firearm/pistol
  • Goods in personal custody suspected being stolen
  • Possess/attempt to, prescribed restricted substance

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Friday 15 May 2020).
