Summer season hours for Warragul Leisure Centre outdoor pool

The opening hours of the outdoor pool at the Warragul Leisure Centre will look slightly different this Summer. Warragul pool users gave us feedback that they would like to have access to the pool earlier in the season, so we’ve done just that.

Based on user feedback, the revised opening hours for the period of October to April for 2026/27 can be found below:

October and April opening hours:

Monday – Friday:

o 6:00am – 9:00am

o 3:45pm – 7:00pm

Saturday:

o 6:00am – 4:00pm

Sunday:

o 10:00am – 2:00pm

These revised hours will be in place until 10 April 2027 and data will be collected during this time to monitor visitation.

In addition to the outdoor pool at Warragul, Council operates seasonal outdoor swimming pools in Drouin, Neerim South, Thorpdale and Trafalgar, and the indoor pool at Rawson, each open to the community from 1 December – 31 March annually. The pools are managed by the YMCA on behalf of Baw Baw Shire Council.

Outdoor pools open when the temperature is forecast for 25 degrees or more, except Rawson and Warragul Pools and early morning swims, which are not weather dependent.

Baw Baw Shire Mayor Cr Kate Wilson said while we’ve still got some cool weather for now, it won’t be long until our community are back enjoying the outdoor pools and making a splash this summer.

“We’re really lucky to have so many amazing pools in Baw Baw Shire. The activation of our outdoor pools is a great indicator of the season, and we can’t wait to see them open again soon,’ Cr Wilson said.

“A trip to the pool is a great, inexpensive day out for the family and a good chance to connect with friends and family in a relaxed setting. I hope we see some big crowds at our facilities this Summer.”
